Med Center Ranked in Top Tier by U.S. News & World Report

The UC Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences stand among the nation's most reputable graduate colleges and programs, according to the latest U.S.News & World Report rankings.

"The College of Medicine is pleased to again be ranked among the top 50," said William Martin II, MD, dean of the UC College of Medicine.  "Our aim is to improve each year and to get the message out that we are regional leaders in research, education and clinical practice."

The following is a summary of top-ranked UC programs and colleges: 

* Top Medical Schools-Research-UC College of Medicine #47
* Top Specialty Programs-Pediatrics-UC College of Medicine #4 
* Top Schools of Nursing-UC College of Nursing #50
* Top Nursing-Anesthesia-UC College of Nursing #16
* Top Speech Language Pathology Program-UC College of Allied Health Sciences #36

"It is gratifying to know that we are viewed by others for the quality of our academic programs, research and impact in the communities," said Andrea Lindell, DNSc, dean of the UC College of Nursing. "This is a credit to the quality of the faculty, students and others involved in our program."
